Luijtgaarden BV
was formed in 1913, by Mr. van de Luijtgaarden who started the family
business as a cattle trader on the Kreekdijk 9 in Standdaarbuiten. (Near
Rotterdam) After many years of successfully trading, new family blood
gave the company a different purpose.
Like any
generation J. van de Luijtgaarden wanted to innovate. Mr. van de
Luijtgaarden saw a chance in a new market and started to trade in
potting soil and a vegetable laundry.
Years past by and
J. van de Luijtgaarden his son, Kees van de Luijtgaarden started to help
more often with the business off his father. He noticed that the end of
the laundry business was near.
By that time they
were already starting to sell used building materials (stones, roof
tiles, windows and doors) but this was only on a very small scale.
Kees van de
Luijtgaarden took over the business, when his father retired. He wanted
to focus on trading used building materials and potting soil.
The branch off
used building materials traders was at that time unsteady. Every trader
was selling a bit off everything. So customers did not know were they
had to go for their used materials. Kees van de Luijtgaarden thought he
could better choose just one product and specialize himself in hat
product.
Roof tiles draw
his attention and he made a plan. He would deliver new roof tiles and
exchange the new for the old ones. This concept worked perfect. And the
business was starting to grow fast. He managed with this concept to
build the enormous stock we have at this moment within a very short
time.
Time is changing,
so is the demand for used building materials. As the name Luijtgaarden
BV started to get more fame in the roofing branch in The Netherlands and
Belgium. The demand started to take enormous proportions. The company
had to make some changes.
To fore fill the
demand more employees were needed. The family company had to grow.
At the moment we are with 8 employees (full time) and 7 part
timers who are trying to make sure the daily business is handled with
the attention the product deserves and every customer leaves satisfied.
At this moment we
are the main suppliers in the Netherlands and Belgium in the used roof
tiles market. With our two lorries we are able to deliver our product
threw The Netherlands, Belgium and parts some of Germany.
Because
of the years of experience and lots of knowledge about roofing tiles we
are able to give good advice and deliver the best quality used roof
tiles as possible |
